In the context that she, Sanders, Feinstein and others do not think of retiring at their age.
In every other field of work, employers consider you old by 45. In industries like IBM, Boeing, at the city hall, at Walmart, at Hilton hotels. Everywhere.
I wonder how such opposite cultures coexist in the same society?

But that is politics in general, not just Democrats.
Nancy Pelosi wasn't demonized in the Georgia elections only. She is the target of rage by so many, including inside the DNC for decades.
Here is a question: why politicians are considered still young at 80, when all others are "too old" to be hired at 45?
Pelosi has been used in so many Arizona Republican National Committee ads and Republican leaning 501(C) ads for years now. And not because of age because of who she is, the leading Democrat of the House.
As for your comment, or the idea of politics. Most Presidents haven't been young at all. The youngest for whatever reason have been Democrats (Kennedy, Clinton and Obama) with Teddy Roosevelt being the youngest Republican president and he wasn't even voted into office since he was McKinnley's VP. It's a bias of politics and nothing is new.
Please keep Speaker Pelosi in her position, and keep the cogent and brilliant Maxine Waters at her side.
It's for the good of the Country! I implore the Democrats.
This article makes a lot more sense than those on the far right or far left want to admit, it also applies to Tom Perez and Keith Ellison as well.
Why on earth would Republicans want to replace Pelosi? She is a perfect GOP punching bag, the epitome of the moronic left. I suspect more GOP candidates ran ads against her in their regional elections than their opponents.
IMO Pelosi started to get into trouble after the Scalise shooting when she called for unity and the need for everyone to come together. That's the last thing her supporters want to hear.
Actually we need to replace her because she is having some senor moments. While sharp as ever quite often, she is stumbling occasionally too. Same with McCain and Trump.
Trumps not going anywhere over them, but McCain and Pelosi need to retire and enjoy life some.
Well, Maxine Waters has found her Huckleberry in, Omar Navarro. We need someone to takeout Pelosi in her district, too.
McCain is PO'ed because Trump holds the job, he has wanted for decades and failed trying. He cannot stand it that Americans like Trump, more than him.
Why do I envision the feast of the Skeksis from the Jim Henson's movie " The Dark Crystal" every time I think about the top dem leadership getting together?
Pelosi isn't going anywhere. She is a huge fundraiser raising $568 million for Democrats since she joined leadership in 2002 and $142 million in the past election cycle alone, according to MSN. The Democrats need her deep pocket contacts.
Nancy is San Fran West Coast. Schumer is NYC East Coast. The DNC chair was an appointee in the Obama administration. The Dem leadership reflects the Democrat Party membership don't you think? Why should anyone want to oust Pelosi?
