A video showing a Canadian woman insisting on seeing a "white doctor" for her ill son at a walk-in clinic in Ontario, Canada, has gone viral. The four-minute video, shot by a patient waiting for his appointment, created an online rage soon after it was posted earlier this week. The woman had visited the hospital with her son after he complained of chest pain.
Well, in this case, if it was that important to her, she should have voted with her dollars and gone to find a white doctor at another clinic once she heard there were none. Yes, there was the factor of chest pain involved, making it a bit different than a retail store, but when you visit a place like this in an emergency (or at least not an appointment where you can choose ahead of time), you should likely take what's there if you are truly concerned.
Are clinics supposed to make sure a doctor of every race is available 100% of the time just in case someone feels this strongly about it? What if there's been an emergency and the doctor of X race has been called away? What is the clinic supposed to do for this person in that situation if they are refusing to see anyone but doctor of X race that is unavailable?

Oh for heaven's sake. Everyone she is complaining to is speaking English back to her. Does she want her kid seen or not? She's a nutcase.
So nut cases shouldn't get medical care. In the USA that's the kind of people we want to see a doctor. She needs two doctors. One for the kid and one for her.
Canada sure is weird.
Not sure what makes her a horrible person OP. She could be a good person having a bad day.
I don't want the government choosing my Dr.
I'd prefer to have a say in it at least.
Didn't read the article, did you. She has a history of racist rants outside of this situation. Not a good person having a bad day, she's a racist lunatic. What normal person bringing their kid in who is complaining of CHEST PAINS insists the doctor be of a certain race?

She needs medical care for sure, not the same kind of care her son, suffering from chest pains, needs.
