Exactly.

Better and cheaper healthcare for everyone but those with diabetes doesn't sound like much of a plan.

" top nine states with the highest rates of diabetes were all won by Donald Trump in 2016 presidential election"

The bad eating habits that are frequently a cause of the onset of Diabetes II are a choice. So is drunk driving. Should we subsidize the legal costs incurred by drunk drivers, too?

Check the election results. The demographic groups with the highest rates of Diabetes were highly unlikely to have voted for Trump.

Oh, dear. Do you really not comprehend this or are you being deliberately obtuse?

I'll try again.

8% of 72% of the population (whites) is a much higher number of people (and voters) with diabetes than 16% of 1% of the population (Native American).

The states with the highest rates of diabetes voted for Trump last fall, and neither Blacks nor Native Americans are the majority in any of these states.

These are the exact same people who will be hit hardest if Trumpcare means you are on your own with diabetes because you're a fatty.

Oh, I understand it perfectly well. People want to be subsidized for the consequences of their own bad choices.

And you seem to be unaware that not one State had a unanimous vote for Trump. Given that, you have to look at the demographic statistics of those with Diabetes. The demographic groups that have the highest rates of Diabetes are those which were least likely to vote for Trump.

White House says diabetics don

How many were insured at onset and how many were uninsured?

So why is he offering medical opinions? It's so far out of bounds; he should be asked for his resignation. Alas we have a president who himself makes outlandish false statements. Americans deserve the truth from our government, not entertainment.

No, sadly, you don't understand it all.

The demographic groups with the highest rates of diabetes are also the fewest number of people, and thus voters.

Every Black and Native American in Mississippi could have voted against Trump and he still would have carried the state. Which means that a lot of white folks, some with diabetes, voted for him.

If this proves too difficult to grasp, then look at the folks who show up at Trump rallies. None of them look like they've missed many meals. To insist that none have diabetes is just nonsense.

Also nonsense is the notion that folks don't deserve insurance if team Trump decides they brought this on themselves via poor lifestyle choices.

I'd like to see some data controlled for income and insured status. If you don't have enough money to eat healthfully, to what extent is bad eating a choice? If you don't have a doctor, who's going to give you proper medical advice?
