Ironic that the states with the highest type II d are all trump states. Hilariously ironic.

Look at the rates of incidence by ethnicity/race. Those skewing the statistics are highly unlikely to be Trump voters:

This idiot has no idea what he's talking about...

Type 2 diabetes develops when the body becomes resistant to insulin or when the pancreas stops producing enough insulin. Exactly why this happens is unknown, although genetics and environmental factors, such as excess weight and inactivity, seem to be contributing factors.

Interesting how Asians have a higher rate than whites, and yet Asian-Americans tend to eat far more healthfully than the average white American. They're far slimmer on average, too.

And black and white Americans on equivalent socioeconomic class levels, tend to eat pretty much the same things.

It just goes to show that those of European descent are simply genetically likely to be more resistant to the disease.

Not all Type 2 diabetes is self-induced. I've seen many thin and fit Type 2 diabetics. Just look at Halle Berry for instance.

Once again, it appears you do not understand how this works.

A higher percentage of Native Americans may have diabetes, but because they are much smaller percentage of the population than non-hispanic whites, there are a lot fewer Native Americans with diabetes than whites.

For example, in the 2010 census, 72% identified as white, 13% as black, and 1% as Native American

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Race_a..._United_States

If that proves too difficult to grasp, check out this site: States with the Highest Type 2 Diabetes Rates: The State of Obesity

Mississippi is at the top of the list followed by West Virginia, Alabama, Kentucky, Louisiana, Tennessee Arkansas, South Carolina, Oklahoma.

Do I need to post who these states voted for or are we good here?

He's the budget chief not a doctor.

Do you take medical advice from your accountant ?

So eager to find something on Trump all commonsense has evaporated, if it was ever there.

Add to all that the fact that this is an administration that very publicly promised better and cheaper health care for all Americans. Which is the real point here. Not whether Trump supporters will be marginally more or less screwed by Trump/GOP health policies.

No, I get my health care advice from this guy:

He is speaking on behalf of the administration and it's priorities.

He has a responsibility to convey accurate info and provides a window into the administrations direction.

"Not surprisingly the top nine states with the highest rates of diabetes were all won by Donald Trump in 2016 presidential election"

Hey... I'm just making the point that those most likely to have diabetes and cost us all $245 billion/year are overwhelmingly NOT Trump voters, as was asserted by another poster in this thread.
