McDonald's shares hit an all-time high on Tuesday as Wall Street expects sales to increase from new digital ordering kiosks that will replace cashiers in 2,500 restaurants.

Andrew Charles from Cowen cited plans for the restaurant chain to roll out mobile ordering across 14,000 U.S. locations by the end of 2017. The technology upgrades, part of what McDonald's calls "Experience of the Future," includes digital ordering kiosks that will be offered in 2,500 restaurants by the end of the year and table delivery.

Please, the VAST majority of mcdonalds are much lower, and in other countries much higher. This has nothing to do with minimum wage so much as technology getting cheaper. Pathetic.

Or do you believe there are more then 14,000 locations in $15/hr wage areas?

BTW this sort of stuff has been going on for a while, even before the $15 minimum wage was discussed.

Please. This is a pretty pathetic attack. They were getting replaced at $15, OR $7. The only question might have been now vs 2 years from now. Automation is getting cheaper.

Is this supposed to make us happy? We're supposed to take the conservative approach and rejoice about a potential loss of jobs?
