"New Orleans police hunt suspects in brutal beating of tourists in French Quarter. Two tourists from the Boston Mass. area were beaten and robbed in a brutal attack caught on surveillance video in New Orleans over the weekend. One of them is in critical condition."
Nice job mayor "Mitch" Landrieu! Beautiful city you have there, N.O. should lead the national homicide rates again this year, so many more important things though to grandstand over like monuments.
This is the french quarter at 9 pm! there was a huge shooting last year that inured nine and killed one on bourbon street, why do people still visit this once great city thats turned into a cesspool
This was just after 9:00 pm on a Saturday -- are you serious. I've never been thrilled with the idea of New Orleans -- too much drinking and such. I can get good food, good drink in lots of places without having to be exposed to that.
That second guy hit the ground hard, what a bunch of slime balls. Is the Westin not popular anymore, where were all the people. I have a good friend who is all about New Orleans, born and raised there. I suppose it's what you get used to, but I think the place is a dump.
New orleans will probably have a higher crime rate than chicago this year, I never felt unsafe around the nicer parts of Chicago. Its hard to find nice parts at all in new orleans tourist areas any more that arent awash in crime, the mayor of N.O.is a real genius, he has done a great job
They caught one guy so that will get the ball rolling , these coward always start talking in custody. It looks like he was hit with something balled up in the guys fist.
Both guys were at a Unitarian church convention " Tim Byrne and James Curran, both staff members with the Unitarian Universality Association, which was holding its national convention in New Orleans"
