Two things..1, there is no alternative to evolution, and 2, you do not seem to understand what a scientific theory means.

Agreed - sadly this is a step back in terms of human understanding, and a further threat to democracy and democratic rule in Turkey under Erdogan.

Someone should let those millions know that there is more milk, more meat, more eggs, and new varieties of apples available because certain other people understood that the "theory" of evolution can be applied to changing the genetics of cattle, pigs, chickens, and apple trees to be more productive.

It is done by picking the plant or animal with the desired characteristics and selectively breeding them to enhance those characteristics - a version of 'natural selection', if you will. It takes generations to obtain the result, rather like the way humans evolved from... well, you know. But, hey, it is all just a 'theory' and shouldn't be taught in schools.
