It looks like the beginning of the end for secular Turkey.

Religious schools in America aren't required to teach evolution. We Americans aren't much better.

But public schools in the US are. Comparing US private schools to Turkish public schools seems like giving Turkey a pass.

Erdogan is bad for Turkey. This move is him trying to stay in power, I'm sure.

It's good to know that university professors in Turkey seem to be very opposed to this. I also find it odd that evolution isn't being taught in secondary school, because the students are "too young" to understand it, but an "evolutionary point of view" is still given in primary schools.

Millions in the USA are fighting for the same right to teach an alternative to the "theory" of evolution.

Input troubling news regarding Muslims. Output criticism of white conservative Christians. The liberal mind is an efficient machine.

Per the article, the only other Middle Eastern country to exclude teaching evolution in their schools prior to Turkey's decision to do this is Saudi Arabia.

This isn't an issue of Muslims and Christians. It's an issue of a decline in secular values in a once secular nation, one that borders Europe. Erdogan also expresses clear authoritarian tendencies.

So, I guess you and all the Christian hating liberals are both wrong.

I think we have many problems to address before worrying about Turkey.
