No doubt a lot of up and coming liberal-minded commedians owe their career boosts to Donald Trump. Now that's making your adversaries' careers great again! (or if just starting out, even greater than Clinton 2.0 could ever do for them)
The tonight shows have turned into a complete joke, they are absolutely terrible. They never in the past focused on politics as much as they do now.
Jimmy Fallon tried to make his show more light hearted and people whined that he wasn't getting in on the Trump bashing so he engaged in herd mentality and now he's trying to copy Colbert.

Thanks, Donald!
If the only thing you're known for is bashing one single politician you're not a very good comedian.
If Colbert gets his whole show from that, then it's not a very good show at all. No one wants to see politics crap all night every night on the Tonight Shows.

Luckily for Colbert Trump became President or he'd still be in 3rd place.
Well yes, people like Bush Junior AND Donald Trump do have tendency to bring a lot of laughter.
Laughter is healthy, much better than downright hate, so what seems to be a problem?

Right. Just like no one goes to Disneyland anymore, it's too crowded.
First sentence - "...U.S. radio and television broadcast stations must provide an equivalent opportunity to any opposing political candidates who request it. "
The operative words being "who request it." If you have any trouble with understanding these words, I'd be happy to help you out.
Let us know when Trump requests CBS and/or Colbert for equal time. Because until he does, and unless CBS/Colbert turn him down, then Colbert will stay right where he is. (CBS/Colbert would NOT turn Trump down.)
And since Colbert's ratings now consistently beat his competitors', he'll be right where he is for the foreseeable future.
"Since January, when Mr. Colbert started his weekly winning streak, his audience has jumped an average of 20 percent when seven days of delayed viewing numbers are factored in, according to Nielsen, a net of an additional 551,000 viewers. Mr. Fallon’s show added 212,000 viewers, a rise of 8 percent, and Jimmy Kimmel’s ABC show netted just an extra 81,000 viewers for 4 percent growth." https://www.nytimes.com/2017/05/24/b...show.html?_r=0
True. He can't stop winning. Someone is going to get ratings-jealous.
That entire interview was extremely funny and clever.
"...And I thought it would be better to cut out the middleman and just tell the Russians myself,” Colbert continued. “If anyone would like to work on my campaign in an unofficial capacity, please just let me know.”
