This is nothing new. Republicans have been like this for a long time. It's just that with the Trump Administration, they feel empowered to show what they really are and avoid the repercussions. Of course, they are wrong and before long, will find just how they have squandered their last chance to maintain any power for their party.

Zero GOP senators find the courage to meet their constituents ahead of health vote
How many of you really think that the constituents for those GOP senators are the "voters back home?"

Very quaint!

GOP senators represent corporate interests, not the public. They'll do whatever their corporate masters tell them to do. And working in the national interests ain't on their list, people.

Which kind of Republican are you?

When Republicans winning a long standing Republican seat is a big win....there's something in the air for sure.

Take heart, people. The acceptance of huge contributions from corporations by the political action committees of these senators and then using the money to buy re-election, despite having ignored the needs of the voters, is not going to work so well, from now on.

This ugly mess of the Trump Administration will have changed things against them so much by the next election, that a new political formula for success will be born. The birthing process is drawn-out and painful, but there are many signs that it is taking place. The disharmony among republicans about the current healthcare bill and the warnings they're giving to Trump about interfering with the Special Counsel, are two of them. The findings of the Special Counsel and other investigators, may snowball into such a huge culpability for Trump and his henchmen, that all of these considerations could be rendered moot.

What absolute total nonsense.

You are parroting liberal media mantras. Scare tactics. Typical of all who don't even TRY to understand what is in the bill and how healthcare coverage is being revised, according to the plan, in phases.
Do you know what's in the bill? Can you explain to me how this bill is better than what we already have? Would that be where older Americans could be charged more than 5 times what younger people are charged? Or is it the part where medicaid will be phased out over time? I'm sure the American Medical Association and others who are opposed don't know what they're talking about.

Here's a link for you, or will you consider this fake news?

Oh, the bill is so mean! As if Obamacare wasn't, with some $15K deductible for families with kids before they could even start collecting benefits. How many families could afford to get care with that hanging over them? You can't convince me that Dems put together a bill (in secret, by the way) that was designed to benefit the people.

There are changes in the Obamacare's many onerous regulations. This will go a long way in opening up the market, increasing competition and giving consumers more choices along with ways to save $$.

It's not all about cost. Granted, the costs are not where you and I might like them to be, but the plan is not final. It's a first step in changes that will occur over time.

The GOP Senators? Yes, they are just going by the liberal media. They have no idea.

Seeing how violent and skreeechy some people have gotten, I do not blame any politician for shying-away from public-meetings.

What do you want them to do, do it like the Dems did for Obamacare and hold a townhall where you weren't allowed to ask questions, just sit and get lectured to about how good the bill is going to be? That is exactly what happened.
