The Dukes of Hazard is well known throughout the Western World, it was exported to television channels across the globe including the UK and there was an albeit poor film made in more recent times.
Yep, my Colombian born wife loved that show when growing up in Medellin, Colombia! So I'm pretty sure the Canadians got it as well, eh!
I'm not advocating a ban. All I'm saying is I can understand how that might be a shock to come across that car for a young Canadian who probably never even heard of The Dukes of Hazard. She walks up and sees that and thinks, oh my god, there has to be a white supremacist here.

Make that 'was', not 'is'. The movie was a flop that didn't make its money back.
The Dukes' time has come and gone like a lot of the 20th century TV shows.
Its only an image. I am sure if you want to be offended you can find a lot more images that warrant it more so than the stars and bars.
I find that she thinks she has the right to tell people what they can and cannot display at a car show or she will threaten violence of some sort, to be far more offensive than anything that car could possibly represent.
i think instead that people need to learn the history behind the confederate flag, and i mean the REAL history, not what some have inferred through indoctrination.
It doesn't matter the history, because like it or not it's associated with fighting for slavery, and has been used since then in bad ways. People need to realize what that represents to people who have had family members lynched by people honoring that flag. It should not be honored anymore. And I say that as someone from the south. Keep it in museums for history, but have enough respect not to put it all over your house or car.
Because she's black, and white supremacists are racist *******s.
