Bingo! And it's not just the Europeans. The educated and skilled of Canada, Australia, and New Zealand are more left-wing than Clinton and Obama.

Are you aware that Middle Eastern/Muslim immigration to the US is actually pretty high, and is expected to increase dramatically? Heck, when I became a US citizen back in 2006, the overwhelming majority of my fellow New Americans were from Asia...and the Middle East (including many Muslims).

I have no idea why you seem to think the US won't absorb many refugees from a region we CHOSE to interfere with. From the European perspective, we have proven ourselves to be the war-mongering bullies they have long accused us of being, and the chickens are now coming home to roost, so to speak.

Trust me folks...especially those of you that have never lived in Europe: the Europeans don't want to come here to live. Use your heads for something other than a hat rack. The United States is a great country, but really folks, it ain't all that!!

Nailed it!!!

Europeans were Not once able to simply get on a boat and go to the United States without having to go through all the things associated with immigration from, because at no point in American history before 1789 were Europeans able to to immigrate to the United States (Or the 13 Colonies, before 1776) freely. In 1776 America declared independence from the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, meaning that like other Western countries of the time, you could not move into America without going through immigration processes. Even before 1776 you weren’t allowed unrestricted movement into the 13 Colonies unless you were British.

In a couple hundred years the cultures of Europe will die out. There really is no disputing this inevitability. Europeans are already offering less and less unique cultural products as they sell their individuality to corporate interests...

The US remains a magnet for scientists and educated people from around the world. Faculty research openings in the US have upwards of 50% applications from abroad.

Indeed, America even attracts far more Canadians every year moving here than the other way around - despite the USA having 10X the population. There will always be the Canadians and Europeans who would rather just sit in the welfare state and be "taken care of".... for everyone else, there's America.
1) Yep. That's right. Canada's a country full of lazy, stupid, people who sit around on welfare. Don't get me started on all the lazy, poorly-educated Americans, overcome with addictions and crime, who are dependent on ALL KINDS of social services (but who voted for Trump! ). I deal with countless of them every day, working in a government nonprofit.

2) I can assure you that there are far more poor, poorly-educated, and illiterate immigrants to the US than there are to Canada. FAR more.

3) Anyone from the United States, the country that, A) elected Don The Con, the Two-Bit Hustler from Queens, as president, and, B) whose general elections are media and commercial-saturated circuses, has got a heck of a lot of nerve to call out another country for "selling their individuality to corporate interests." You're somethin'.

4) As someone with immigrant parents from the UK, I can assure you that many Europeans do, indeed, laugh at the US, rightly or wrongly.

We're losing a ton of revenue in lost tourism. Making the world hate us has really dire consequences. And yes, this country is now a cesspool. Quite frankly, aside from our military and GDP, the US barely qualifies as a 1st world nation any longer. We're much more on par with the 2nd world.

If you're a Westener, the United States has more cons than pros.
