LOL there are a couple of posters on the travel forum here that are wanting to go to NK. Go figure

Let me get this straight -

You think she should be horribly punished for a remark she made, which was neither directed at her students nor at the family? You think she's only entitled to have opinions you find pleasant? Do you have any understanding of the concept of free speech? Actually, what she said isn't as bad as when Republicans were cheering the idea of letting people die for not being able to afford medical care. Yes, it was heartless. But then again, Trump says heartless things all the time.

She is right about one thing - Sadly, Americans seem to have no idea that when they're traveling to a potentially dangerous foreign country, they should exercise a little extra courtesy and caution. Warmbier did not "get what he deserved," but he was a fool to have acted as he did in such a country.

Hers were a very poor choice of words. Although I don't agree that "he deserves it", he, and other Americans have no business entering North Korea. Why is that hard to understand?Their leader executes his own people for no reason and he is an enemy of the U.S. Why would anybody think it is safe to go here? No, Otto did not deserve the treatment he got, but no U.S. citizen has any business in North Korea. And, if you do go there, you are most certainly on your own. A very sad and tragic ending but, one that easily could have been prevented.
