If the rumor is true, then Trump will select a 2nd justice within the first 6 months of his Presidency.

Talk about a lost opportunity for the Democrats to have made radical change to the Supreme Court.

Elections do have consequences.

I have my fingers crossed on this one! Hopefully we'll see another two leave before President Trump's 1st term ends, stressing "1st term". Would be great to have a SC were the participants could remain awake during their sessions.

Yeah, that's great, but Ginsberg would be even better.

If Kennedy is calling it quits at 80, Ginsberg, at 84, can't be far behind.

I hope Trump picks another 49 year-0ld like Gorsuch.

The way things look for Trump, too bad he won't be around to see the new Justice sworn in.

Well, as long as Trump picks someone who will open up the floodgates to big money in politics and make it impossible for ordinary Americans to win elections without begging the super rich for money, the donors will be happy. Gorsuch has promised to open the floodgates to big money in the election system to crowd out any hope Joe Sixpack might have of getting listened to. Elections will be essentially a fight between various puppets of a handful of billionaires while the people are spectators.

Hopefully Trump will win the 2020 election, Ginsberg's health conditions do not allow her to serve for another 4 years.

Trump isn't going anywhere. He will be President in 2020, and most likely 2024. Better get used to it.

Pray tell, just how is he going to manage to be President in 2024, considering the current law?

The new President from the 2024 election does not take office until January 20, 2025. If Trump wins a second term in 2020, he will be president until the beginning of 2025.

Understand?

Just a matter of when. Also, If Ginsberg had any integrity she would have retired after her remarks during the election.
