The Travel Ban did not make it on the Court's calendar today like many thought it would. Although they may announce it tomorrow instead, it's looking like they don't want to touch it.
I would imagine not. After all, each of the two travel bans had an expiration date (90 days or 120 days, I can't recall), which the Trump Administration stated was needed so that they could implement 'extreme vetting'. The implication was that by the end of said period that the Administration would roll out its new vetting procedure.
Indeed, on June 5th, President Trump tweeted that "In any event we are EXTREME VETTING people coming into the U.S. in order to help keep our country safe. The courts are slow and political!"
This, of course, being an official statement of the President (as per Sean Spicer), meant that the new vetting procedure was in place.
Indeed, on May 4, 2017, the Department of State published its new vetting procedures in the Federal Register for comment:
Said FR cites the new questions that will be asked of people seeking visas.
As such, no need for the Court to take the case. There is no longer an issue to adjudicate. The President's desire to be 'vindicated' by the Court will not be considered.
It's a clear-cut issue where Trump, once again, had no clue what he was talking about, and multiple courts, conservative and liberal, smacked him down already.
They should hear it and they should rule in favor of the President to make a decision that cannot be over turned by a lesser judge.
Trump wanted a 90 day pause from 7 countries that Obama himself had listed as dangerous and the most likely to produce a terrorist that would come to America and attack.
I foresee in the future, Trump as President gets a warning that there is an impending attack planned by terrorist that are coming from Syria, he exercises his presidential rights by pausing travel from Syria for 30, 60, 90 days until our guys can get to the bottom of the threat. In the meantime some feel good PC Lib of a judge stops the travel pause because "it is mean" and unwittingly allows the terrorist group in and they then hijack a plane and we know what happens then.
The Federal judges that stopped the travel pause did so out of political reasons and that is not their place to make those decisions.

Do you think they'll hear it?
NO
It was a temporary 90-day ban so they could check the vetting and make changes if they chose. It could have been done already.

Did you happen to notice that it is past 90 days now?
