Once against you're conflating being protected publicly versus being deemed protected by law! SMH..

Have you ever wondered why there's so many cases of " HATE CRIME" designation?? Of course not.. for some reason you think because of bigoted people who perpetuate Hate crimes ( get charged) have zero connection to the ability to CHARGE THEM WITH A HATE CRIME! Sometimes I wonder just where this type of logic continues to be spread by so many here on C-D

Nope.

And forcing businesses to treat people of all races equally never did in put a Christian business owner into any kind of moral conflict. In fact, being racist is being anti-Christian. That's a lot different that forcing a business owner to endorse an immoral ceremony which is an activity that someone CHOOSES to have. I wouldn't want to be told I had to cater a swinger's convention either. Same thing.

How about Christian servers in restaurants?

Come on. This crap is ridiculous.
Think of something you find immoral. Now imagine you sell a product that you know ahead of time will be used directly in that immoral act. Would you honestly have no problem with that??

Once again, why should the government have laws to keep people from being inconvenienced?

The end result, harm, was that the gay couple had to go to another bakery.

And?

The end result is that in most cases the business will go out of business.

If someone doesn't want to go in the back door becasue the restaurant is owned by a bigot, it still comes down to the inconvenience of going elsewhere.

The reference is to Civil Rights. LGBT is not a protected class under Federal Civil Rights law. The baker's First Amendment Right prevails, especially since there is no conflict.
