For the record, Wall Street Journal is a right leaning paper.

TL: DR; A GOP opposition researcher who apparently worked with Mike Flynn and his son (implied on this project), tried to get Clinton's infamous 33,000 emails from Russian hackers. The emails Trump infamously asked Russia to hack and obtain during the campaign. The GOP Operative, Peter Smith, received some apparent hacked emails, but passed them to Wikileaks to release so he wouldn't have to verify if they were authentic.

While probably not a smoking gun, it's a pretty big piece of direct evidence of collusion.

Hell, Trump himself asked if they had the 33,000 missing e-mails, now would be a good time to see them.
Was that during a debate, with Hillary?

That's Impeachable!!!

Being picked up by other news sources now.

This would explain the Mike tweet this morning. Trump ALWAYS distracts everyone with stupid actions on twitter when a bombshell news article is about to come up implicating him and his team.

Technically, I don't think he asked anyone to hack as you state - especially as Hillary deleted them to cover up her big problem. He asked anyone who already had them before the deletion to release them.

See the difference.

P.S. Asking Russia to release info they already have (if they have it) wouldn't be illegal. Just as Obama's 2008 backdoor communications telling Iran what to do wasn't illegal.

We do have proof hillary colluded with russia when she exposed confidential info to russia, NK, Iran, china and Pakistan.

You think russia was the only player?

Trump likes eskimo pies, that should be enough proof he colluded with russia as eskimo's originated in Russia.

Nah - that's not what he said.

He didn't say "Russia, if you have the e-mails, release them".

He said, starting at 30 seconds: "Russia, if you're listening, I hope you're able to find the 30,000 e-mails that are missing. I think you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press. Let's see if that happens, that'll be next."

Sounds like a call to "go find them"...

He said "Russia I hope you are able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing."

How can Russia "hack" emails that Trump just said (and everyone knows) Hillary deleted from the server.

1) The server was wiped clean

and

2) The server was no longer online

Think, don't just regurgitate vacuous Democratic talking points spoon fed to you. That is the problem with society today - we don't think. We are sheep for our party shepherds. You aren't the only one, millions fell victim to lack of thought from this DNC talking point. And Republicans do on other points too.

And it isn't your fault. Fake News Left leaning media told you that lie. And you just said "that is a good point, Trump told them to hack her already deleted emails."

He was clearly asking Russia or anyone who might have already hacked Hillary's emails BEFORE she deleted them from the server to release them.

Uh...I'm literally quoting Trump. I'm not regurgitating any "talking points."

What are you even talking about??????????

Watch the dang video...it's not that hard.

As to the question of "how" - depending on how the server was set up, it is certainly very possible to obtain deleted e-mails. Although, that has literally nothing to do with what Trump said - Trump's knowledge of how computers work is quite limited (as we have seen many times from various things he has said)...

The e-mails could have been impossible to obtain (for various reasons) AND Trump could have been calling for Russia to find them. Both of those statements could be true as neither of these points negates the other.
