The only real alternative is to leave the country.
No, collapsing the economic support for the institution of aggression by the people and living according to the non-aggression principle could in theory lead to a peaceful end to the barbaric government and a model of what a real moral society can look like.
The Wife and I have been researching these 3rd Parties. The Green Party and Republican line up with many of our values, but Republicans have a major diversity issue they need to address. Im not voting on party lines anymore. This last election was a major learning experience. If the Blue Donkeys put Trump against a woman or minority in 2020 they will not get my vote. If they put him against a white male, they may get it. Ill vote Republican until its a one party system.
To where? https://internationalliving.com/the-...ces-to-retire/
Here is a start...
This country is in trouble. Both parties and their hardliner supporters are the cause. Until hardliners start holding their own party equally accountable we can't have change.
Hillary, Bernie and Trump? Seriously? They were the best the 2 parties could manage?
The my way or the highway congress? Both parties own that hot mess.
Nope, I'll stay here, and use free speech to complain, and try to wake people up.
Don't you think that's a better plan?
Depends upon your priorities. In my experience there is no waking hardliners up. They will justify the actions of their party of choice no matter what. Look how hardliners defended the DNC for their misdeeds. Look how hardliners defend the GOP's inaction even with an unbeatable majority.
There are plenty of places to move to especially in retirement that offer a lot for the bang for the buck. Equal or better health care. 50 cents on the dollar cost of living. Great climate, and beautiful cultures.
20 years ago I never would have considered leaving my country to be an expat. I traveled and saw Europe while in the service and wanted none of it. I still don't, but there is a whole world out there.
Me and my money are going else where.
