He did. Failure to obey an officers lawful order.

I blame the (B)owe(L) (M)ovement organization.

He was a dick of a cop with an authority complex and she was mentally ill and uncooperative. Their meeting was tragic in many ways, but I don't hold her responsible for his authority problem and I don't hold him responsible for her killing herself.

Just a bad crossing for them both.

He had no justification to ask her to put out her cigarette after the encounter was over.

Yes he did. It could be used as a weapon.

The encounter had concluded. He was supposed to be on his way but decided to escalate the situation.

He was within the law to arrest her. Most cops would not have but he did. Not his fault that she killed herself.

good. The cop in this case did nothing wrong. Just because rioting liberals want to hang him doesn't change that

The police department said otherwise in firing him.

He was technically within the law, but everyone around him knew what he did was wrong, thats why he signed an agreement to never seek employment as a cop again. When your wrong actions lead a person to suicide, they have to look at how the situation could have been prevented. Theres no way they went this far without multiple incidents of harassing people and multiple complaints, he will only make the department look bad if he continued anywhere. The states Public Safety Director cited multiple policy violations that lead to Encinias firing. This guy had to go, and he was wrong on every level to serve his ego.

Quote:
McCraw told Encinia there were three main reasons for his firing.

The first: “You failed to remain courteous and tactful in the performance of your duties. You engaged in argumentative discussions with Ms. Bland and you failed to exercise patience and discretion throughout the contact.”

The second: “You prolonged the traffic stop beyond the time necessary to complete the tasks.” As a result, “You extended Ms. Bland’s detention without a reasonable justification or legitimate investigative purpose.”

Third: “You failed to follow the seven-step violator interview,” which includes greeting the person stopped, stating the violation and “explaining what the violator must do.”
This is a major example of the key catalyst for bad police encounters, God complex. Some people cant handle the job without developing this.

Now cell phone video from Sandra Bland's phone of her confrontation with the police officer.

https://www.npr.org/2019/05/07/72108...s-for-new-inqu

Family is calling for new inquiry.

All I see is someone being argumentative with the police officer.
