And when Canada's oil stops flowing into the US--what then?

Trade works both ways.

Why would they go through his iPad in the first place? Do the Canadians go through your cell phones too when you arrive in Canada?
Guess I'll make no more trips to Canada, scratch Canada off of potential places to go in the future.

I watch the border patrol shows on Netflix. Yes, going through cell phones has been protocol on the shows that I've watched, and many are several years past production.

That's why I can never understand all the outrage against the U.S. implementing such searches.....people need to research what other countries have been doing for years.....it is a good thing we are implementing tougher searches given the dangerous climate in our world imo.

Just because other countries do something does not make it right. I don't knock on Canada. Overall it's a good country but this is disappointing to see.

Feeling up old ladies and reading people's thoughts do not make us a safer country.

Although I may not agree with all that Canada does, Canada is a sovereign nation, free to decide their own laws. They are also a very good neighbor. As others have said, if you don't like the laws of Canada, don't go there.

Same reason American immigration officers go through phones and stuff...they are looking for something.

Dont like it but Canada is allowed to make laws for Canada.

BTW read the horror stories about TSA imprisoning people at airports until they give up ALL their passwords.

Searching electronics is now new in USA either.

You just have never heard of it before.

Trump, like you, ignorantly thought that USA had the upper hand in trade talks with Canada until Trudeau politely and firmly informed him.....Some 38 states NEED the USA for their economy.

Go ahead -- cut off the nose to spite the face.
