Last october it was part of a Russian Flotilla that sailed to Syrian coastal waters via the North Sea, English Channel and Mediterranean.

The thick, black smoke belching from the giant soviet-era ship attracted some mockery on social media.

You are right, the Russian ships carry a set of jumper cables and the captains have AAA roadside assistance. Their equipment is not exactly what we might call state of the art.

Our battleships are being fixed by Rolls Royce, unlike the Russian ones which just squirt smoke everywhere.

Rolls-Royce prepares to test 'fix' for unreliable Type 45 destroyer engines on the open sea

Nobody wants to go to the seaside whe the Russians are passing by.

Isn't that the aircraft carrier the UK built with no aircraft that can use it?

Of course aircraft can use it, it will operate F-35B Aircraft and helicopters.

The UK is to receive 138 F-35B's, with the first training squadron having recently received the aicraft.

So in other words, I was correct. The UK currently has no fighter jets that can use that aircraft carrier.

IMO, they should have put catapults on the thing. That is, afterall, a British invention.

Sounds like that is what it is, along with a huge waste of their taxpayer money.
