Police are responding to reports of an active shooter at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center in the Bronx, New York.

Two law enforcement sources tell ABC News several people have been shot.

Update: FOX is reporting that at least 2 people have been shot at the hospital

Multiple people, doctors, shot with an AR 15 type of weapon
Shooter wore a white lab coat
Shooter was a former employee
One or more small fires were set according to 911 calls. May be the odor of gunfire that prompted calls.

Suspect's name is Henry Bellow, a former hospital employee.

A few obscure online blogs are reporting he was a doctor at this hospital.

NYPD confirms several people injured.
