I like the British rags. They seem to have a better reflection on American politics than our MSM without the obvious bias.

Despite all the efforts of the left things are getting done and people are being helped like the vet mentioned in this story. If the MSM is just reporting the news like the left keeps saying how come you don't see stories like this one? It is real news. Veterans are being helped by Trump's act, which was a campaign promise. Obviously because the MSM has an agenda that colors what news they want to report.

I hope he is successful. But, I’m a realist and it’s not looking very good so far.

That's good. Because, while British journalism is more intelligent and professional than American, overall, the Brits, like most European countries, like Canada, Australia, New Zealand, etc.(i.e. the Western world) think Trump is an absolute twit. At best.

I think Dems are less likely than Republicans to bite off their noses to spite their faces. Trump's an incompetent idiot, but if America thrives in spite of his ineptitude, I will he as satisfied as the most devout Trump worshipper. I'll believe it when I see it.

I used to think that way.

Then I realized I was dreaming.

It's hard to fix it when you're your own worst enemy.

Trump's only "success" is looking like a clown and behaving like a child. He's got that down pat.

I think I agree with the sentiment. The article was not very complementary to President Trump: it was pointing out that, to his 'base' supporters, he has been successful, but that they set a very low bar.

He, of course, can still make his Presidency successful. Plenty of time. However, I admit, I am getting a bit pessimistic about it.

Recall the threads that claimed that Obama and Clinton were responsible for the rise of ISIS in Iraq and Syria?

Odd that those people have not started new threads blasting Mr. Trump for the very recent rise of ISIS in the Philippines. Perhaps someone will remedy this.

Sure, you guys take real newspapers like the Guardian seriously only when it serves your agenda. The great environmental reporting they do, especially on climate change is completely ignored.
And then you guys take everything coming out of Daily Mail as gospel even though it's tabloid junk.

The bi-partisan "Department of Veterans Affairs Accountability and Whistleblower Protection Act" is small potatoes (it doesn't increase funding, speed up the process, or change delivery structures) compared to havoc of the Better Health Care Plan.
