Senility is not funny. We have all experienced the pain of watching a loved one struggle with the loss of faculties from age, and the luckiest among us will confront those challenges sooner or later.

Because we have all seen it, we should also all agree that people in the midst of this struggle should not control the world’s most powerful military or largest nuclear arsenal. As today’s otherwise innocuous video (below) indicates, that is exactly the frightening situation that voters in 30 states put us in and 218 Members of Congress keep us in.

I honestly feel that Trump is losing it on any number of levels, and increasing signs of dementia are but one of them. The cons don't care because as long as they have a republican president, it's much easier to carry out their agenda - both in congress and the country as a whole.

Where the hell did Trump think he was going in that video, and why did it take staff so long to react?

Same was said about Reagan, Bush 1, Bush 2 and McCain. Tell these stories to kids who weren't born yet. You might be one of them for all I know.

"More than one user questioned whether Bush had been drinking alcohol. Some accused him of using cocaine. Several people even suggested — lacking any evidence and just after he had given a clear, concise and moving speech — that the former president might be suffering from the beginning stages of dementia"

Could you guys change your playbooks at least?

His dementia is becoming more and more evident, but I don't think they will necessarily show him the door. He has a good national security team that is running foreign policy. No one is really paying him much attention internationally except as a joke. But his team is well respected. Domestically, he can't do anything of significance without Congress, so he is pretty much hamstrung there. There is a problem with the CinC role and the "codes" but if it came to his doing something really dumb there due to his dementia, I think everyone would disobey him and he would be removed in a New York minute. But unless and until that happens....
