Sorry I see this as a tragedy for the church and I am not Roman Catholic. Now, that being said: OP, these things happen. It doesn't deteriorate from what the church stands for. This would be like saying, because a man who happens to be gay, approaches a young boy and wants sex, all gays are sexual predators.

That is a social construct which has to be discredited if we are going to move forward with open borders and identity politics for a more harmonious global order. Its a tragedy for the Pope to stand in the way of gay rights which the majority of people and governments agree with and protect.
