Why we continue to subsidize churches with their tax-exempt status is beyond me. Quite a few make no bones about being political action groups.
What H.L. did was wrong. What you just did is wrong also. It's hypocrisy that has got us into our mess.

You do have a point.

Churches openly promoting political candidates and legislation while claiming tax-exempt status is wrong.

That's the question, isn't it?

Here they are so righteous they can't condone the use of birth control, but apparently not righteous enough to avoid illegal behavior.

Concept of sacrifice (torturing and killing an innocent so that the guilty can feel free of their guilty conscious) seems evil to me.

That's fine and not the same thing as one actually doing it.

You are absolutely correct. But Trump's administration is giving these fake churches the green light to involve themselves as a basic political action committee.

Unfortunately, the fake Christians of today have done more to turn off young people than to bring them in.

Less Americans identify as 'religious' then ever before. Hypocritical churches and fake Christians have only themselves to blame.

It does tend to get old after a few thousand years or so doesn't it?

Gotta agree, the idea that the nicest man in the world needed to be tortured and murdered so that I can shirk final responsibility for MY OWN THOUGHTS AND ACTIONS never really sounded like "good news" to me.
