I don't want the US leading the world. because I realize that as President, I am not a King, I would implore the Congress to pass legislation to:
#1 - Pull our troops out of every part of the globe and step away from NATO and other alliances
#2 - Pull out of the UN (this should probably be first)
#3 - Balance the budget
#4 - Protect our citizens, borders, and companies
#5 - Improve infrastructure and health care.

Just as the title says, what are 5 things that you think would help keep the US the leading nation in the world?
1) Take full advantage of my position to have sex with women who wouldn't have sex with me now
2-4) Whatever would bring the office of the president more in line with what was originally intended
5) resign
1. Bring all our ground troops home and put them on the border.
2. Have every department justify every job.
3. Have every department defend their budget.
4. Tell congress I won't sign any bill with any pork.
Since the POTUS has limited powers, I couldn't unilaterally do all the things I'd like done. So I only made it to four items.
Just as the title says, what are 5 things that you think would help keep the US the leading nation in the world?
Install a Flat/Fair Tax system, the government would get more money and the people over all would pay less.
Ban the Lobby system from Washington and the Statehouses, they subvert the Will Of The People.
Reform Welfare and other Social Programs so that those that need it get it, those that need training in a trade that is demand get it, and those abusing the system are thrown off and punished.
Put better security on our borders, while making getting a green card much easier, especially for those that do regular work here, and give those that wish to become Citizens a away to apply without fear of deportation.
Allow anyone that wants to go onto a form of Medical or Medicare, stop the nonsense and allow people to get affordable healthcare, with the payment deducted from their pay, unless they opt out and buy their own.
I would add a few more, education and military reforms being high on that list along with cutting off the sugar daddy cash we give away so freely to the world, but you said 5 so I did that.
Raise min wage to $12.50
Pull like 90% troops out of the middle east we have been over there to long cost us way to much and got us nothing
Cut defense budget by like 40%
Make gerrymandering illegal and some states would get a special counsel to do redistricting Texas would be the first state
Get money out of politics and set the max donation you can give to a camping is 1million
