I'll ask you the same question I asked the OP: what is it specifically that Trump (or in this case, the Republican party) has done to cause this to happen?

(and yes, I saw what the one person who actually answered this question said; I agree, obviously)

Great question. The answer is, nothing. As a matter of fact, he does a lot more firing than hiring.

Trump can account for maybe five of those -- but we'll give it to him after a slow May -- June came back. Not quite to June 2016 numbers but good none the less.

He's getting there -- drip drip drip -- slow and steady wins the race right

The streak doesn't refer to 81 months of each month getting better -- it refers to 81 continuous adding not losing jobs.

We have not lost jobs since June of 2010.

Sorry if that wasn't clear for you.

There weren't 30,000 jobs lost. in January 2017 -- there were 30,000 less jobs ADDED than the previous months. It's a subtle but BIG difference. +

And check your stats -- Mar 2017 -- only 98,000 jobs were added. that would have meant a loss of jobs added -- not a loss of jobs......

You really think Trump has a significant part in the current employment levels? It takes time for a sitting president to truly effect the economy. Much of what we see today is still the effects of the Obama administration.

US nonfarm payrolls total 222,000 in June vs 179,000 expected

Exacerbating the problem called The Rent Is Too High.

SMH the job market MIGHT be improving but for the long-term unemployed, resuming their job search is unlikely to pay off. Their ship has sailed.
