Fighting back in an aggressive manner is what has gotten them into trouble to begin with. The DNC had colluded with the media to anoint Hillary, and the likes of Debbie Wasserman Shultz and Donna Brazile were not exactly wall flowers.

I know this will pain hard core leftists, but the (D's) need to have more moderate candidates to have a chance of winning. Remember not all that long ago they even had some conservative representatives, and a bunch of moderates. Now they are a party led by liberal loons.
The asylum can only be taken over and run by the inmates for a short time before they realize they cannot govern from the extreme left.
But I am not sure the (D) leadership even realizes it thus far.

One loses POTUS elections when losing the Electoral College. They are not mutually exclusive. Might as well estimate total pounds of population voting for each if you like meaningless stats like popular vote for POTUS.

Trump is now President. One with any knowledge of our government and history of the world would not make many of the nonsense claims the Dems/liberals do. Ignorance does not sell, someone pass that on to the leaders in the Democratic Party. Wait! The Democratic Party has no leaders.
HOW MUCH FURTHER RIGHT CAN THE DEMOCRATS POSSIBLY GO?!
If you look at European centre-right parties, they are practically socialists compared to the Democrats. The problem is the Democrats and the country is too far right, in voting patterns. By issues, minimum wage etc, the country actually aligns with the "leftist" Democrats.

No.

I'm pretty liberal, though these days, maybe not as much as I thought.

Anyway, my disdain for the Dems is much greater than the ineptitude of Trump. I see some strong parallels of the Left towards trump as I did of the Right towards Obama. But at least the Right didn't have anything near the equivalency of the "Black Bloc/ANTIFA". And don't even start with the Tea Party, it's not the same.

I agree, Dems are very pro-corporate, business first. The only thing they are far left on is stuff that doesn't matter as much to most people like gay rights and trans bathrooms.

Democrats have been working hard to guarantee Trump's re-election, they just don't realize it.

By issues, I pretty much agree. The problem is, I don't see the Democrats focusing on the issues that matter to most Americans. They're so caught up in the SJW movement that everything seems to be about race and sexuality and white guilt. It would be a good idea for the Democrat politicians to get together with the mostly-Democrat media and have them start reporting on something other than GIF-makers and whichever cause is currently floating around college campuses. Someone also ought to remind them that 'victimhood' isn't attractive.

They could probably win over 7/8 of the US population just by sincerely showing themselves to be non-interventionist. Of course most of them aren't, nor are the majority of their Republican counterparts.

Thank you for the well laid out, logical, and thoughtful response. With a ruling political party like this, it is no wonder America is now the laughing stock of the world.
