Trump, Tillerson Tap Russia Hawk Volker for Ukraine Envoy

Kurt Volker's career, as outlined on Wikipedia:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kurt_Volker

This is a very distressing development. You've got a CIA analyst,

NATO official, John McCain insider and lobbyist all rolled into one person!

If this jerk can't start a war in the Ukraine against Russia, nobody else will.

World War 3 will be very easy to start in the Ukraine. The American position

is untenable and has no seed of truth. Russia did not invade Ukraine, and

the Russian people of Eastern Ukraine are going to fight to the death if

Kiev tries to invade them again.

Your claims are provably, palpably false. Russia invaded Ukraine and remains an occupying force in Crimea and parts of eastern Ukraine - which is just that, part of Ukraine, whose capitol is Kyiv.

Russia needs to get out and stay out of Ukraine and forget its insane, megalomaniacal dreams of recreating the Russian Empire.

BTW, it's "Ukraine", not "The Ukraine". It's a sovereign, independent country. I notice you don't refer to "The Russia", do you?

You do realize that Ukraine is the largest country in Europe, and is strategically positioned geographically, don't you? Unlike Russia, Ukraine is also a democracy.

He's a career diplomat and Europe specialist. Why appoint someone with qualification's ? That is so yesterday thinking.
John McCain is considered a foreign policy expert. Just because he wants to bomb every country on the planet doesn't keep him out of office.
It shouldn't be a disqualifying factor in appointing someone who worked for him either and its not.

How does that make it OUR problem? Its not. Let Europe handle it. You can claim Russia isn't a democracy all you want but last time I looked Russia ELECTS their president. Over half the people here hate Russia because of this fantasy about election meddling etc its not a sane healthy obsession either.

Internal Ukrainian issues were NONE of Russia's business. Russia's invasion and theft of sovereign Ukrainian territory transformed a domestic political affair into an international dispute. Given that, Ukraine has sought assistance from her allies.

I wish. I wish Putin would have brought his troops in the Eastern part of Ukraine and took over it, protecting its population from retarded Ukrainian nazis, on whose bayonets today's "Ukrainian democratic government" was brought to power.

Russia needs to take what's rightfully hers, and forget about the rest of such artificial creation as "Ukrainian state," that was created back in the 90ies to be used against Russian interests.

Oh who cares. That state is a still-born baby, and Russians refer to it as "Country 404," as in 404 error

Ukraine and Russia need to solve their own problem. Ukraine has history with Russia for 1000 years and wasn't even an independent nation until the early 1900s and even then temporarily.

"Ukraine and Russia share much of their history. Kiev, the modern capital of Ukraine, is often referred to as a mother of Russian Cities or a cradle of the Rus' civilization owing to the once powerful Kievan Rus' state, a predecessor of both Russian and Ukrainian nations."

One could easily argue Ukraine, all of it is part of Russia. Those two nations have have been intertwined more than Siamese twins, sometimes good, sometimes bad and it will always be that way.

Absolutely. But the dumb Ukrainians decided that they are "special" ( with the help of 5 billion dollars that American government invested there to make them feel "special" with all their "color revolutions." ) They decided now that they are "true Europeans" while Russians are some kind of "Asian hordes" you see, and the westernmost part of Ukraine ( which historically was not even part of Ukraine, but Austro-Hungarian Empire) is a "true Ukrainian identity," which they want to impose on the rest of the country.
I mean how can you take these people seriously?
