Man, this Trump derangement has reached a fever pitch and has become so hilarious. The 5 or so of you who keep posting that Trump will be impeached, calling for his impeachment or otherwise continuously predict his downfall need to realize that Trump will most likely serve his whole term and may well be re-elected if he fills all of his campaign promises or at the very least has the economy rolling on strong.
You have to remember, the American public put up with the last two administrations all while getting a large stick shoved up their financial arse as well as seeing many of their freedoms being taken away and their access to healthcare being either totally destroyed or made so expensive it is useless.
So, unless Trump does something hugely illegal or totally repulsive to the masses he'll be around for at least 4 years...

For the same reasons that this is blowing up now. Trump is president, Hillary was not. But of course I do remember Hillary being investigated by senate committees on Benghasi and her emails. So it wasn't like it was just given a pass. I mean let's not forget the opening of the email investigation by FBI right before elections

both trump jr and veselnitskaya ( the russian lawyer ) claim that she had no russian government documents or any other dirt on clinton, which trump jr was expecting to get at the meeting. it's not unlikely that at some point in an awkward meeting veselnitskaya discussed lobbying congress about russian adoptions.
one part i'd like some clarity on is what exactly veselnitskaya thought she'd be discussing with trump. we know exactly why trump jr ( plus possibly manafort and kushner ) attended but not veselnitskaya.
Veselnitskaya was there to set up the pins for the Feds to knock down. She set the trap and Tjr & Cie. ran, skipping and laughing, into it.

The meetings with Russians don't appear to be anything unusual. Both Democrats and Republicans do this on a regular basis.
However, it is annoying that Don Jr. did not disclose this particular meeting several months ago. Back around December when the Russian collusion hysteria really got started by the media, he should have just stated that he had a meeting with a Russian lawyer who was residing in the U.S. at the time and nothing came of it. It was a wasted 20 minutes. End of story.

Better yet, why weren't the emails forwarded to DOJ immediately upon receipt? The meeting proposed was obviously illegal even to the casual observer. Tjr and crew could have gone into the meeting wearing a wire and busted Russia and become a hero.
