This brought me up short - did anyone else notice?
He said, in part: The memories of those who perished in the Warsaw Uprising cry out across the decades, and few are clearer than the memories of those who died to build and defend the Jerusalem Avenue crossing. Those heroes remind us that the West was saved with the blood of patriots; that each generation must rise up and play their part in its defense -- and that every foot of ground, and every last inch of civilization, is worth defending with your life.
Need I point out that while Trump seems happy to urge others to be defending something with their lives, and is happy to send out the American military to defend with their lives - he himself had multiple deferments, five, I believe.
Giving one's life for something is for others, not for Trump.

A lot of people noticed all the complaints from all the usual libs. Let's face it, if the Bamster had given this speech you libs would be demanding he get another Nobel Peace Prize. Trump gives it and all we hear is the usual whiny yada-yada from you folks.

Absolutely, many that don't serve. But they don't usually go out of their way to urge others to sign up to risk their lives. Many do just as you say, and may simply express thanks.
