Obviously the "journalist" that wrote that piece HATES Europe and Europeans so its a bit hostile with all the usual buzz words to make people seem evil and the invaders seem like angels.

Spreading fuel oil on the water and lighting it would work too. The message has to go out that economic refugees will not be allowed.

Nothing like that was even suggested. Intervening is to save Europe and to save lives. Who cares what some supposed unsavory characters are donating to the cause? It's the cause that's important.
