After 2018 election the Dem's and GOP will start working together. Dogs & cats will get along, the lion will lay down by the lamb.

There is a grass roots movement under way to sweep the career politicians out of power. The ones that are involved in the revolving door between politics and industry. Ones like Billy Tauzin and Max Baucus who have hurt all people by driving up the cost of health care.

Example :

This grass roots movement is called "Brand New Congress".

Both major parties have chosen big donors over the American people. We are going to recruit and run dozens of outstanding candidates in a single, national campaign for Congress in 2018.

The goal is = Together, they will pass a practical plan to significantly increase wages, remove corruption, and protect the rights of all Americans.*

Democrats will run against democrats and GOP against GOP candidates and they will all be running with the same platform and legislative agenda.

Meet some of the 200 plus candidates that they expect to run for office at this link :

It's going to take more than one election cycle. That's designed into the structure of the federal government.

The House of Representatives can change over every two years.

The Presidency can change over every four years (barring unusual calamities like death or impeachment).

The Senate can change over every six years.

The Supreme Court can change every few years to every ten years, depending on circumstances.

Not saying that a complete oil change is a bad thing, but it's never going to be a one-and-done.

And I don't think that a couple of shills for the pharmaceutical industry are going to be the ones who lead the way.

Eh, I'd rather see both parties go by the wayside and be replaced. It's time.

Real change can't happen until we get rid of the legalized bribery we call 'campaign contributions' and 'PAC money.' Yup, we need publicly funded campaigns and strong laws prohibiting lobbying that includes any and all forms of money. Until this happens the middle class and average American will never have a seat at the table.

Its not being planned as a one and done.

I'm not saying I approve of it either BUT I thought people might want to know about it and discuss the possibilities.

That is the goal of the movement and that's part of the topic of the thread.

While not illegal, people like Tauzin should be forever barred from ANY interaction with anyone in DC.

Looks to me like this movement is loaded with socialist ideas and may take us towards Venezuela at a rapid pace. It may have a hard time getting conservative support. But the movement is coming and I'm just putting the information out to be examined.

Trump was said to hijack the GOP

Burnie tried to Hijack the democrat party.

This movement seems to want to hijack both parties.

I opened the site and read a bit. As it is, just getting the career politicians out isn't going to fix the deep partisan divide. If you have ideas to fix that, maybe this can work. I still think new parties, viable third parties, etc. would be more effective.
