I would rather do away with all this tipping everyone automatically nonsense. The businesses need to give them a standard income, pass on whatever costs, etc. People can tip if they get actual good service, not just a default to try and ensure you get someone to actually do their job. I do tip the 20% or so or whatever, but it's silly.
Well, my lifelong union supporting, feminist supporting, anti war unless the USA is invaded Democratic voting DH does 20% and then rounds up. Always has. Most of the time, it's 25%.
His kids do the same.
