CNN does it for ratings. It's the exact same reason they gave Trump wall to wall coverage for months during the campaign.
This administration may lack competence, ethics, consistency, etc, but one they do not lack is entertainment value.
I actually watched the whole exchange, and the most interesting part of it was when Conway said that CNN has "made a business decision to be anti Trump". Cuomo didn't deny it. In fact, he went right on with the conversation as if what she just said was a given. How revealing is that???
