From those videos, the area looks like a trashier version of Key West or Bourbon Street, with a bit of a Tijuana vibe thrown in there for good measure. Greece should be embarassed if this is what passes for a luxury resort destination. Cancun is far nicer than this.
Apparently what started the fight was he put his beer on their table. If Greece convicts them, that's one thing. If they don't or if they get light sentences, then I would hope Americans choose other places to vacation besides Greece.
Trump doesn't need to do anything. His job isn't to play superhero to every tourist who has issues abroad. Let Greece handle it, which I certainly hope they do.
I feel that Trump should put pressure on Greece and demand answers and a sufficient explanation about what happened as that is a corrupt country that is probably covering it up. Also he should demand that the US be allowed to send investigators over there to participate in the investigation, and also demand answers from the Serbian government as many of the attackers are Serbian citizens. We also need know if this was a politically or racially motivated attack as it seems likely given that they were Serbians.
Le'ts be honest: It won't happen.
The victim is a black man.
If it was a white woman or white man, sadly, it'd be pressing, front page news on most major media outlets. And of course, there'd be incessant tweet storms from Drumpf.
Greek police arrested the suspects immediately. Witnesses are saying the altercation started over the American guy and his friends taking selfies with the bartender, who was the girlfriend of one of the bouncers.
Led to a fight/brawl, which the suspects completely admitted to. Unfortunately the bar fight led to the American's death (which can happen in bar fights). Super sad situation that something so trivial ended the young man's life, but the Greek police took action about as quickly as possible, and their courts will decide the suspects fates. I don't think there's much the US needs to do at this point. Not sure where you came up with the conspiracy theory of politically/racially motivated, as this scenario could have happened anywhere and they were in a tourist spot.
Sorry you put so much effort into your post. Im sure the OP only created this thread to whine about Trump, and was looking for fellow lefties to pile on the Anti-Trump rhetoric, or else the thread title would have been something like "US state dept should look into that attack in Greece".

It's not a luxury resort, the strip is aimed at youngsters.
Think US College Spring Break, times it by ten, and have it going on for 6 months of the year.
The Doormen are also unregulated, and sadly due to heady mix of alcohol, drugs and stupidity not all of these teens make it back home in one piece.
The mediterranean is full of such resorts catering to clubbers and the Club 18-30 crowd, and this is especially the case on the med holiday islands.
The likes of Ayia Napa (Cyprus), Kos, Kavos, Zante, Magaluf, Malia and Ibiza have now been joined by Sunny Beach on the Black Sea in Bulgaria, the latest war zone with lots of very cheap drink, bars and clubs and lots of extremely nasty Bulgarian doormen. Indeed compares to Sunnt Beach, Zante is classy.
You can buy a beer served in the numerous bars in Sunny Beach for around 70p which equates to 90 US cents, and spirits and cocktails are equally cheap, as are drugs which are no doubt supplied by the local Bulgarian Mafia - American tourist be wary.
Do you people realize that in the entire country of Greece last year there were only 81 homicides out of 11 million people? Lets see similar sized states.... Illinois 744, Pennsylvania, 658, Georgia, 615.... When it comes to crime the US is third world compared to Greece.
OP should demand that Trump ask Greek authorities how they keep their country so safe with the tens of millions of tourists that visit the beach night clubs and get completely **** faced each year
American Bakari Henderson was killed by a group of as many as 15 men because of an argument over a selfie at a bar on a Greek island, police said.
A confrontation began after Henderson, who was vacationing with friends, asked to take a picture with a waitress, and quickly escalated into a fistfight involving other customers and two bar employees, Greek police spokesman Theodore Chronopoulos told The Washington Post. Video surveillance shows that the 22-year-old recent graduate of the University of Arizona was fatally beaten in a span of just 30 seconds, Chronopoulos said.
“They kicked and punched him to his body and his head,” he said. “His death came from hits in his head.”
Nine men have been arrested and charged with intentional homicide.
When you leave America and go to another country, you should understand that you are now under a different sphere of laws. That includes people visiting both "risky" and non risky places. I don't think it is really the US gov's business at all, let Greece handle it - which it appears they are doing just fine.
South/East Europe is similar to the Southern United States as far as race goes. I heard Greece has a white nationalist party known as Golden Dawn.
