Yeah, I bet Nixon said the same thing, as well as every other guy who got caught. But it doesn't exonerate them from their crimes. And neither will it for Junior.
The true irony is that the same people orchestrating the leaks against Clinton are more than likely the same people who'll drip little tidbits like Junior's exchange to continue the destabilization of a Western democracy.
The automatic thought is that someone close to Junior leaked the emails to NYT, but remember who he sent that email to. You'd be foolish to think that it wasn't shared far and wide within the Kremlin. And that goes for every email and conversation had between any Trump associate and any government or business linked Russian. This is Grade A KGB craft, IMHO.
They'll never release anything to bring him down because Pence won't be anywhere near as accommodating, but just enough to prove their point that our form of governance is easily manipulated. Compound that with US leaks, Trump won't have a moment's rest. Will he be impeached, probably not. Will his term be saddled down and mired in a similar 'drip, drip, drip' that brought down Clinton? You betcha.
Libs will be saying Trump will be getting impeached right up until January 20, 2025
He will not be serving a second term.
