48% of public school children in the USA are eligible for free/reduced lunch. The lowest state is New Hampshire with 25%.
That suggests that wage disparity is more to blame than your classist/racist implications. There's no way that almost 1/2 of the kids in public schools are welfare or anchor babies.
They should do 5 hours of work for $10 worth of lunch? It's like $2/day. I guess you support slavery, too.
You should hang your head in shame.

It's no secret I am no great fan of many Federal programs. Feeding children? That is never wrong. Hating on children is always wrong.

Their is no reason you should blame Obama when this is a fact in every country. Even Nigeria. Poor people will always have more Children than rich people, their are ways to close the gap, but at this point it is human nature IMO, since it is a fact in every single nation on this earth.

Close the gap?

More social engineering by central planners?

I mean close the gap between the number of children poor people have and the number of children rich people have. Yes I mean social engineering. I personally believe welfare encourages more Children. Another way is policies that make people less poor. Another way is one child policy or two child policy which restricts children poor can have and so the gap closes.

Exactly-why is it bad for parents to DO THEIR JOB and at least provide for their kids meals. Regardless of where they come from? Don't the PARENTS recognize the importance of their kids to the future of the country? Have you no shame of using this for a political statement? Typical left-wing nut idiocy.

I'm conservative about many things but food for kids isn't one of them. I'm a lucky guy I can feed my kids but I know plenty of well-meaning people who struggle at it for one reason or another. I'm fine with free lunch and breakfast for kids. There are too many other things in life to worry about.

I'll pitch in a couple bucks to subsidize a few meals.

As do I, a lot of farmers struggle. The irony is that they produce food to feed a nation and struggle to feed their own. Most people have no idea how many hours a farmer works a week and for so little pay. Yet they think a burger flipper should be making $15.00 an hour.

I was on reduced lunch in the 80's when Reagan was in office when I was a kid. We were lower middle class. Both of my parents were married, had 4 kids and worked full time (one for the IRS). They never collected welfare or were ever unemployed.

Sorry, I don't buy into the stereotype of welfare queens popping out babies left and right or that people are getting rich off welfare or government assistance. The birth rate is declining in America. Welfare programs were gutted in the 1990s. People who still buy into that crap are really out of touch.

Sorry it's evil to let kids go hungry in one of the richest nations on earth.

Oh and my kid has never qualified for free or reduced lunch.
