These 2 tweets by Cook Political Report stat guru David Wasserman illustrates the difficulty facing the GOP in replacing Obamacare as compared to the Democrats in passing it.

In order to pass the ACA, Dems needed all the political capital of a POTUS elected by 7.3%, 60 Senate seats & 258 House seats (1/2)


It's just a much heavier lift for GOP to pass AHCA when you have a POTUS who won by -2.1%, 52 Senate seats & 241 House seats. (2/2)

I think they just need to back away from the ACA and put a group together of moderates from both sides to work on the new plan or on how to improve the current ACA. They are moving way too fast for something that is extremely complicated that affects the entire nation.

But what do I know? I am just a fly on the wall.
