Bet you won't be calling anyone else out of their name again.
Why? What do you think will happen? Do you really think that black people cannot resolve issues without violence? Very sad.

Racism in 2017 is basically just "you are saying something slightly impolite to a non-white person".
OMG, don't you work in the school system??? Haven't they taught you anything about cultural sensitivity?

Here, let me explain it in a very simple way to you: Steve Martin is an actual person. Aunt Jemima is a racist stereotype.

You should write a book called Racism for Dummies. Please include a quiz in the back.

I'm imagining J.Z.'s reaction to someone calling his wife Aunt Jemima.

Sadly, yes.

Nonetheless, I like to give credit where credit is due.

I Googled Aunt Jemima's history and yes she's based on racist stereotypes however I found that three actual women played her in advertisements up until the 1960s. The first woman was a former slave.

Fascinating stuff.

I also stumbled upon the history of Mrs. Buttersworth. Seems like nobody knows her true race. We should debate that tomorrow along with what exactly Captain Crunch is a captain of.
