Why are these rowdy teens hanging out that late at night? Where is the parenting? You don't see other teens hanging out like this, jumping on cop cars, and causing commotion. It's a lack of socialization and how to behave, act civilized, and conduct yourself in public. If the parents had instilled that into these kids, they would know that's not how to behave in public.
I don't by the whole "they're just teens having fun. Nobody got shot or hurt." If that's the standard, then that's sad. No other teens are acting like this.
Yes, of course the Constitution grants the right to free assembly,
but localities pass laws that require permits for events.
The Constitution grants the right to bear arms, but I can't go buy a Tommy Gun.
Wow, what double talk. Not only that, you are simply making it up. There is no such thing as needing a permit to gather together.
I live in the Atlanta area. I almost never hear of this kind of stuff happening. San Francisco's BART incident? I've frequently ridden Atlanta's MARTA and never saw anything like that happen. I wonder why these mob incidents are more common in Philly and SF than in Atlanta.
I noticed you you conveniently didn't quote my entire post. I said if you can identify any of those kids on camera throwing stuff at police cars, to arrest them.
But quoting my entire post wouldn't have allowed you to fit in your narrative in response, trying to make it seem like I felt the kids shouldn't be held accountable.
Yes, the teenage kids in Philadelphia were acting like idiots. Would you judge the kids in the picture below the same way you judged the kids in Philly? Looks like riots and they're shutting down streets.

Post their photos online so that employers know who NOT to hire. That will teach them there are consequences to not respecting authority.
Like that would work. Many of those teenager are terminally unemployable. Some of them might have served time in "baby jail" as Dwight from Free Willy described it. Some of these kids will likely become drug dealers. Posting their pictures online would only work on those who want to have a career for themselves that requires a skill or some kind of importance.
And think about this. The prisons are full of people who are terminally unemployable. Consequences won't stop those kids from re-offending or doing future crimes. Or stop the next generation of kids from doing this.
