Add health care to the long list of trump accomplishments such as: air travel, steaks, bottled water, vodka, casinos, universities and more. MAGA (Make Americans Glazed-over-with-disappointment Again.)

So, with GOP and Trump refusing responsibility, who should be in charge of running the country?

Who gives a rat if a handful (or 100,000) of people file medical BK. (They stiff the Medical industry who then pass the cost on to EVERYONE - not just a handful). Even in BK, the home is protected, the 401K is protected, the Cars are protected. Heck, a few million people file BK every year for all sorts of reasons.

Instead the ACA allowed one small segment of the population (those without employer insurance who make over 50K per year) to see their premiums to go up $500-$1000 per month so the Medical Industry (& Health Insurance industry) didn't have to deal with a few medical BKs. It was nuts.

ACA caused millions of middle class families to have 10K - 20K LESS disposable income every year. It cost my family over 50K the past 3 years.

Oh....and our overall medical expense was probably 2K per year.....ZERO trips to the hospital. You're Welcome Obama.

Don't call crappy insurance healthcare.
Many of these bankruptcies are the case of the insurer not covering the care a person needs. My parents nearly went bankrupt because their plan at the time didn't test asthma so my doctor fees were out-of-network and cost a ton. This included a stay at a hospital. There are still cancer patients who go bankrupt because of continual care. My uncle is one who has continual care from kidney disease and a co-worker of mine has a husband who had skin cancer and lost an sure because off it two years ago and now has lung cancer and was in the hospital long term and the hospital allegedly caused more issues and a longer stay. So I will have to disagree that we are just stiffing the bill. Plain and simple, insurance makes it more affordable. I'm sorry you and others hate the disposable income, but you'll thank it when a medical disaster wrecks you.

Lol. The Rock has mentioned he's interested.

"...“If Obamacare fails, people will not blame Barack Obama so much as they will blame Trump and Republicans. He was elected to try to take care of problems. For him to stand up and say, ‘Let it fail and they’ll crawl back to Trump to fix it,’ is an alternate reality.â€

How does this make you feel? I'm genuinely curious.
"How does this make you feel? I'm genuinely curious"

When O Care passed over 6 MILLION LOST their insurance and the Obama and the left didn't care.

"Letting it fail will leave you and others without insurance."

IMO, this is just the usual "scare" tactics from the dems.

Just as when they show granny being pushed over the cliff.

How many are going to be WITHOUT insurance under the current O Care when the rest of the insurance companies pull out of the remaining states?

What is the dems solution?

Why would we want to deprive you of the obsessive need to do so?

Is there any common ground for GOP, Dems on health care? - CBS News

Quote:
Democrats for weeks have cried foul over Republicans' decision to keep them out of the health care bill negotiations. But, with two failed attempts under their belts, if Senate Republicans want anything more productive than President Trump's "let Obamacare fail" strategy, they are likely to need Democratic support.

"It wasn't that they came to us and we sat down and we couldn't agree," Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-New York), said in a stakeout with reporters. "They closed us off. They thought they could do it on their own. Now it's clear they can't. And the door is open again and we would welcome them walking through it for the good of America."

The two parties won't agree on everything, but Schumer said a few options exist.

"Look we're not going to find common ground on everything, but we can find some common ground," Schumer said.
You know what? Us independents are TIRED of this partisan BS. The democrats have been MORE than willing to be a part of a real, tangible, bi-partisan effort to resolve this matter and the Republicans shut them out.

Period.

And this "I'm not going to own it" BS from Trump? This 'leader' is a big, huge, miserable FAILURE of a Chief Executive.

You must have one great plan to have unnoticeable increases, what is the name of your insurer?

I've asked repeatedly, I have yet to get a single Trump supporter to respond...

Repeal and replace failed. And we already know that repeal alone will fail as it won't have the votes. Trump is now saying to "just let Obamacare die." IF Obama care dies, over 8 million American people will lose their health insurance over the next year.

Which outcome would Trump supporters rather see?
Trump and McConnell work with Democrats to come up with a bipartisan fix of Obamacare? Or would you rather they just let Obamacare die and as many as 8 million American citizens lose their health insurance by the end of next year?
