If we're gonna be stuck with them, than this is our best hope.

Our entire government has come to a screeching halt since 1/20/17. Nothing is getting done, government employees and people who are in various programs have no idea if they will have jobs, and no one is doing anything about it.

The GOP better get off of the pot because they wanted and got control of everything, and, now that they have it, they do not know what to do with it. Their chances for 2018 and 2020 are being killed by all of this, and they do not realize that their problem starts right with the man at the top. Well, maybe they do realize it, but they better get some backbone and fix it before he kills the Republican party forever.

This odd marriage of GOP crony capitalism with Trump populism is failing as one might expect.

As long as voters continue to vote for extremists ( whether on the right or left) Congress will remain broken. You simply cannot reason with someone whose ideology is so extreme. We need moderates who are not afraid to compromise but as divided as this country is politically, it will not happen. Expect more stagnation and gridlock, that's what you all vote for.

Why the GOP Congress will be the most unproductive in 164 years
I prefer a do nothing Congress and President. After the Republicans took control of Congress, Obama was a figurehead do nothing that signed the bills Republicans passed....he wasn't so bad after the Republicans took control.

Totally agree. The Establishment Republicans are just Democrats with an "R" next to their name. If nothing happens we will get another Dem in 2020, and perhaps lose both houses. I would really like to see a paradigm shift in Washington, but not holding my breath.

So, next time you vote, you should know what to do. Vote the one who is already in office out and let the new people go in, even if they have zero experience in politic. Why? Because one way or the other, Congress is useless as of now. So, why bother letting people stay in congress more than one term. Since they don't take it as serious, why should voter take it so serious as to who would be in the seat?

I'd like to see many more people with an "I" next to their name...or any letter besides "D" or "R" quite frankly. They are all just a bunch of children who think the "he/she did it first argument" is a legitimate political argument.
