Many of Trump's supports act like he can do no wrong. I have a few theories to such attitudes.
1) Some people are oblivious to Trump's histrionic, narcissistic behavior.
2) Some people write it off as "he's a good guy at heart", viewing Trump as a wealthier version of Archie Bunker.
3) Some people actually think and behave as Trump, therefore, can relate to him.
4) Some people understand that he has those really bad traits, but don't really care.
5) Some people might regret that they voted for Trump, but won't admit it. It's the fear of "I told you so". It is also that "it's us vs them" mentality. Basically, it's "we have buyers' remorse. We no longer like him. However, we hate those that don't like him even more, so we're going to put up this front as an 'up yours' to everyone else".
I think about all of the possibilities I just listed. It reminds me not of how far we've regressed. It reminds me of what has ALWAYS been there. It's not that hard to turn people against each other, when there was always an "us vs them" under the surface.
I have difficulty judging, I grew up in the NYC area and have probably been exposed to far more of Trump's BS than a large portion of the population. I considered him little more than a fast-talking huckster 35+ years ago and have seen/heard nothing to make me change that opinion.
Trump is sure threatening the senators though. Gaw, read about his lunch today. Who is he, the Godfather?
What a pr***.
But Trump's threats aren't very threatening, given his incredibly low approval rating. He implies that Heller might not be a senator much longer if he votes against the GOP plan, but Hillary won in Nevada, so it's not like Trump carries any particular weight there. And Heller barely beat the Democrat when he ran for Senate.
Heller will make a name for himself if stands up to Trump and does right by his constituents. It's unlikely he'll garner more votes in 2018 by doing Trump's bidding.
Don't swallow the Trump BS and the COMMIES! will take over!
Please, Save us Donny, PLEASE!
Your post is insulting beyond acceptance. Most of what I said was true before Trump ever entered the pictured. We had a traitor in the White House. He is still causing trouble.

Isn't Trump supposed to be some great negotiator? Why can't he get the right let alone both sides of the aisle on the same page for the betterment of our great country?

Before the election, there were no end of folks insisting that Trump was some great deal maker who was going to run the country like a business. What's going on here?
His 6 months performance review is showing mighty little on the positive side.

I'm 31 years old and I've never been to NYC. I never knew how much of a corrupt businessman he was until he ran for President. I knew he had 4 bankruptcies, so I figured he might not be responsible enough to be this nation's President. I didn't know how corrupt he was.
