I know it's hard for Cult 45 to understand facts, but several repugs were threatened by their crazy base if they even thought of talking to or working with a dem. Don't tell me there was any serious outreach from the majority party to anyone, just keep enjoying the kool aid.

Really? I'm pretty sure Democrats were asking to see and work on the Republican bill the entire time it was being done in secrecy. I think even Rand Paul tried to see the bill and was denied entry. It's tough to join in when you are locked out of game while the bill is being drafted.

I would suggest universal healthcare or single payer before going full tilt towards a socialised system. They are different.

I'm willing to have them pass it before I read it. Dems shouldn't mind either, they didn't last time.

The infighting within the Republican party was nowhere to be seen with Democrats 8 years ago. We know what Republicans are trying to pass but it seems like anything they do is going to kick people off insurance or make it more expensive for some. Anything they pass is going to either bring back the days of people not having insurance, insurance not covering something, or people having to file for bankruptcy because they got sick.
There was actually a ton of infighting among Democrats. That's how we wound up with things like no public option and the individual mandate, which Obama ran against in 2008.

Republicans are in a worse position though. For them, it's not a question of how many people will be helped. It's a question of how many people will be harmed so they can give a tax cut to rich people. That's a much tougher hill to climb. You have some in the party who won't be satisfied until we're practically bulldozing people into mass graves. Then you have others in the party who realize that if they strip insurance from 20-30 million people, they'll quickly find themselves out of office.

I have no idea how you get the people who experience empathy to agree with the sociopaths who get a kick out of watching people suffer and die.

There was only a slight decrease in those with health insurance when it came to having to file for medical bankruptcy, so it didn't really help with that either.

Many people lost their doctors, lost their insurance companies and paid more and more money.

Nope, Obama tried to screw the American people along with his globalist buddies, and we are putting the breaks on it!

Actually, when many had only major medical provided by employers, medical care was affordable. They didn't need 3 people in an office filing insurance claims, 5 people instead of previously when they had a doctor and a nurse. Prior to the big wave of health insurance, medications were also affordable.

Strip the middle man, the health insurance industry, and we can start talking about getting people the medical care they need at an affordable price!

Look to history for the answers. The health insurance industry became major as jobs left the country along with big pharma and the prison industry. Take a look at the result.

I support socialized medicine, and the reason we don't have it is the power of the health insurance industry.
your post is conspiracy nonsense you are living in a fantasy world. You have completely lost the plot , Obama is not part of some made for TV movie plot. There is no grand agenda. But most likely it helps you feel better to be "in on it", to "understand" what as norms don't. Funny thing is i have heard this BS for 30 years and not once has one little bit of it even started to happen. not the slightest little bit.

One of the dumbs threads yet but lets give them the credit that they are due. The popsicle melts like snowflakes and we know what they do with the stick.

"Democrats on a Stick"
Obama supporters thought he was a Dr. so they bent over when asked thinking he was taking their temperature. We may never straighten them out but if we can get them to straighten up its a start.

And you and GOP have...what workable ideas on healthcare?

Oh...clearly none?

That's what I thought. You're the zero credibility crowd.
