WASHINGTON - President Donald Trump has declined an invitation to address the annual convention of the National Association for the ADVANCEMENT of Colored People, White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders said on Wednesday.
Perhaps there was a scheduling conflict. There could be many reasons.
You would think that wouldn't have to be pointed out. I read the article and it said that his assistant said he would not be attending, but would be willing to have open dialogue with them.

Was it going to be some kind of question and answer? I thought he would simply be one of the speakers. He said he would be happy to open a dialogue with them.
I wonder when the invitation was extended. President Trump does have a very full schedule, get the https://www.whitehouse.gov/1600daily Follow it and see what he does that day, I suspect it is something that was on his calendar before this invitation.
Maybe if they promised to like him and supplied a large cheering section he would go.
