WASHINGTON - President Donald Trump has declined an invitation to address the annual convention of the National Association for the ADVANCEMENT of Colored People, White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders said on Wednesday.

Trump declines invitation to speak at NAACP convention

I think the thought of blacks making something of themselves sickens him not does he believe in it.

And he knows the press will pounce on him for saying something stupid. Which he would and they will.

Perhaps there was a scheduling conflict. There could be many reasons.

They are a racist group. They put blackness before unity.

He should be there! In fact you should appear before tough audiences. You should explain your positions. I say this as a Trump supporter!

I'm sure the number is higher then what Trump has planned for them or anyone else. Oh wait he has no plans for anything but him and his rich friends.

You would think that wouldn't have to be pointed out. I read the article and it said that his assistant said he would not be attending, but would be willing to have open dialogue with them.

Was it going to be some kind of question and answer? I thought he would simply be one of the speakers. He said he would be happy to open a dialogue with them.

I wonder when the invitation was extended. President Trump does have a very full schedule, get the https://www.whitehouse.gov/1600daily Follow it and see what he does that day, I suspect it is something that was on his calendar before this invitation.
