Mitch McConnell is a crafty politician. He wants to win for his party, he will make all of his calculations toward that end. Sometimes the path to victory is a strategic withdrawal, sometimes a frontal assault, I am sure Mitch has more tricks up his sleeve.
Personally, I think most Republican politicians do not serve the people, they serve the donor class. Mitch is just like that, party before Kentucky, party before country.
Many politicians skip meetings with the public in favor of fund raisers out of state with people from out of their own districts. We have lost control of our public servants.
Seems to me the problem is not that Mitch McConnell has sold you out. Instead, the problem is that he is a morally bankrupt politician who represents a party of no good ideas, a party that has no interest in helping or looking out for the average citizen. He is exactly the type that your side admires and votes for and always has been - now you complain?
