Well, that would in fact be news to me. Do you have something that generally supports this, or is it simply a "the Trump supporters that I know don't watch FOX news" statement?

I don't. FOX news is fully as annoying as CNN. I picked this up from an email newsletter, not FOX itself.

They need to change the face of the party (from Pelosi et. al.) and get back to their post Depression roots.
Changes don't come overnight. But the Democratic party is well aware of all you mentioned, and there are a lot of changes underway now. Unlike the party of 2016, these changes aren't coming from the top down, they're coming from the bottom up.

District by district.
That means that even though 2018 might be a year that's very ripe for the Democrats, unless the discontent over the Republican non-performance grows much stronger, strong enough to turn their most loyal voters against them, there won't be a big sweeping change in Congress.

No Democrat is betting on a big broom sweeping out the Congress next year. But if the White House falls apart before November 2018, it's a possibility, though a remote one. No one is counting on it.

Most likely, there will be a few seats in the House that may be gained, but not enough for a new majority, and the same in the Senate, where any change will count for a little more.

The real focus is on local and state elections, where the Democrats have neglected opposing the Republicans in the solid red states for far too long.

One thing that can be expected in those elections is to see more Democratic candidates on the ballot. The goal is to give the GOP no more free slides by never putting up their candidate in county and state elections. Both parties will have a full slate of candidates for the voters to choose from. That's the main goal now. A full slate in every election, every time, from now on.

That's going to take time, but the fact has been driven home like a 12-penny nail; the Democratic party can win the Presidency, but the top of the tree is only as sound as the roots. Strengthening the roots is now the highest priority of the Democratic party in 2018, in 2020, and onward in the future.

Don't worry about Nancy Pelosi. Just like the Republicans, she's an aging Representative who's so senior and so popular in her district she will win once more. The GOP has plenty of these people too. Until they decide to leave, their seats are secure.
They have all served for 20 years or more, so one way or another, none will be around very much longer.

And 'the face of the party' is something that can change overnight literally. It wasn't all that long ago when John Boehner was the face of the Republican party, was it? That's how it will be with Pelosi.

There is always someone who will arise and fill that role.

Few things to point out about this thread in which both sides posted misleading or flat our wrong info.

1. Thread title is misleading. This is a poll conducted by Fox News, it is not a poll of Fox News viewers

2. Most National polling in November was pretty solid, a few state polls were off which happened to be enough to flip the race.

3. In the Special Election polling, in several cases the Democratic candidates actually out performed the polling. The GA-6 polling was pretty much spot on the first round, off a little the 2nd round, but with the exception of one Survey USA poll had it neck and neck (consensus of polls had it 0.2%)

That isn't to say this poll is accurate or inaccurate, and polling is far from full proof and sure has its issues. However, making crap up like this is a Fox News Viewer poll, or all polling was bad is just absurd.

Your argument is moot. The real world continues to prove it wrong time after time.

Just look at that graph. It's hilarious. Yet you guys still seem to believe the pollsters without question.

You just posted a link which showed the average of the polls showed Handel up by 0.2% right before the election...

100% wrong.

This was released on election day before the polls opened. It's the culmination of a year's worth of polling by the pollsters. (rhymes with mobsters)

It speaks for itself.

Regarding the poll... I wonder how long it will take for Trump to refer to them as "the failing, fake news Fox News."
What were the policies Obama put in place that helped the economy?

We can all see Trumps follies. He is an embarrassment here and all over the world. Hope Trump doesn't do anything stupid in the meantime.

The national polling was fairly decent, in fact it was more accurate than the 2012 national polls which showed Obama winning by about 1%. The state and ev polls weren't

Many Trump supporters listen to Christian radio. Its difficult to watch Fox at the same time. Its millions of people. They use TV as entertainment and not that many find politics entertaining although political nerds do.

If you don't watch Fox why would it be unusual to think others might not too?
