What nonsense? BSA is a great organization, teaching kids right from wrong, more than I can say about many parents and our education system. All people I know who were scouts turned out to be good people.
Which is why it should never be contaminated with the likes of Donald Trump.
according to reports, the scouts have a standing tradition of inviting the president to speak at the jamboree. i guess scout leaders just assumed there was no possibility a POTUS could F-up an address this badly. live and learn.
Given that the president of the USA has always had a standing invitation, as I said before, the BSA could not "uninvited" this president without putting themselves in the middle of a political firestorm. They didn't really have a way out of this, except to hope that Trump wouldn't embarrass them.

There have been many, many, many Scouts - former and current - who've decried this speech.
It's even sadder considering the irony involved in your comment - 0bama refused to give a speech to the Boy Scouts while he was the president, despite being invited each year.
First of all, the Jamboree is only held once every four years so no, Obama was not invited every year. Second of all, while Obama may not have spoken at the Jamboree he did invite the Scouts to the White House.

How about a link to who decried his speech.
